Main learnings from the meeting were, that people sustainability and related changes in EU law are very much the focus of sustainability development actions and requirement to audit of reported information will even increase the importance.

New EU law requires companies to disclose information as well as requires auditing the way they operate and manage social and environmental challenges. This information includes social matters and treatment of employees, respect for human rights, anti-corruption and bribery and diversity on company boards in addition to environmental matters.
New law helps investors, civil society organisations, consumers, policy makers and other stakeholders to evaluate the performance of large companies and encourages these companies to develop a responsible approach to business.
