Aino Health implemented its SaaS solution HealthManager as a part of Botkyrka Municipality’s initiative “Focus work environment and health”, which started in September 2018. The goal of the initiative is to decrease sick leave, create health-promoting workplaces and to keep sick leave at a steady low level. The results so far show, among other things, that the short-term sick leave has decreased by 3860 days compared to the same period last year.

The initiative “Focus work environment and health” aim to early detect individuals and workplaces within Botkyrka Municipality who have high levels of short-term sick leave. The goal is to decrease short-term sick leave by 12 % over 3 years. Aino’s role in the initiative is to deliver the “Health Support”, which includes receiving absence notifications from the employees, access to the solution HealthManager and a dedicated rehab leader who supports the employee and manager during the sick leave and early support discussions. The early support discussions aim is to identify early signs of illness and to together set up an action plan to improve the situation and contribute to lasting workability.

The first results point in the right directions with positive effects on the short-term sick leave. Since the start in September 2018 to March 2019, the short-term sick leave has decreased by 3860 days compared to the same period last year. One can also see that the share of employees with repetitive short-term sick leave has decreased.

”We can see that there is a clear connection between the number of short-term absence occasions and the introduction of the Health Support. The decreased short-term absence this year means that we instead have personnel present in the organizations resulting in a higher quality for our citizens. Going forward we want to continue the improvement of our working environment and health, as well as improving the quality in our organizations,” says Ingrid Wibom, HR Director

”It is fantastic to see that our services and solutions make a real difference short-term, as well as long-term. We have learned a lot from working with Botkyrka Municipality and look forward to being a part of developing this project further”, says Jyrki Eklund, CEO Aino Health.
